Mardi Gras, Dr. Seuss & Doggies
Several ways to participate in virtual krewe
Krewe du Pooch is a friend to TDR. This year's events are a bit different because of the pandemic, but there's still fun and prizes to be had. The costume contest is based on the Dr. Seuss classic, "Go Dog Go," and instead of an in-person event, participants will submit videos via social media. The deadline to enter is Feb. 8. The fun run/walk is also virtual. All the information you need is a click away at https://www.krewedupooch.org/. I'M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY. His bio says “special needs,” but Finn is just special … period. This handsome shepherd mix is in his prime and quite healthy. He is blind but you wouldn’t know it by watching him maneuver around the house and yard. Finn is affectionate, playful and gets along well with just about everyone, including fellow canines. He’s also housebroken and crate trained. Finn was surrendered in February by an owner who didn’t have time to care for him. He has been waiting a very long time for a forever home. He would be perfect for an individual or family who already has a dog who needs a friend.
He learned the layout of his foster home very quickly. He will stand by the door and bark when he needs to go outside. A home with a fenced-in yard is best because he is still working on walking on a leash and responding to basic commands. He likes to gnaw, so he needs to be kept well supplied in toys and chews. Finn needs company during the day, so someone who works from home, whether single or part of a family, would be ideal. Available at Tired Dog Rescue in Gulfport, MS. Visit the website to complete an application, www.tireddogrescue.com Fee: Paid by a TDR angel.

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
