Mardi Gras, Dr. Seuss & Doggies
Several ways to participate in virtual krewe
Krewe du Pooch is a friend to TDR. This year's events are a bit different because of the pandemic, but there's still fun and prizes to be had. The costume contest is based on the Dr. Seuss classic, "Go Dog Go," and instead of an in-person event, participants will submit videos via social media. The deadline to enter is Feb. 8. The fun run/walk is also virtual. All the information you need is a click away at https://www.krewedupooch.org/. LADIES, MEET WYATT. If you have been looking for the perfect guy to hang out with and snuggle with THIS IS YOUR GUY!!!! He tends to like women more than men but will warm up to men if they are willing to give him a few days. At first he may bark and act a fool but after a few cookies are given, and when he knows you are not a threat, he will be your best friend. Because of his anxiety, kids are not recommended. Out of all the fosters that I have had, Wyatt is definitely the most snuggly. He wants to be with you at all times and always has to be touching your body while he sleeps. If you work from home he will lay beside you on the chair the whole day. He does have some anxiety at first, thinking you will leave him and never come back, but that goes away once he knows the routine and knows you will be back.
Wyatt likes most dogs, but he is an alpha if he is around a shy dog. He probably would prefer to be an only dog, but he does fine with all small dogs in the house. He is OK with cats, but will chase them sometimes, so it's best not to have cats for him to annoy.
Wyatt is 2-3 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. He would love to have a friend who will take him hiking or running and play ball in the backyard. Because Wyatt can be spooked easily at first, I would like him to go to a home with a fence so he can’t run off. He is housebroken and does not like crates. He loves to ride in the car. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and has had a 1-year heartworm prevention shot. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Fee: $125. Apply at tireddogrescue.org
Sponsors: CBW will give adopter 10 free day camp days.
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
