Mardi Gras, Dr. Seuss & Doggies
Several ways to participate in virtual krewe
Krewe du Pooch is a friend to TDR. This year's events are a bit different because of the pandemic, but there's still fun and prizes to be had. The costume contest is based on the Dr. Seuss classic, "Go Dog Go," and instead of an in-person event, participants will submit videos via social media. The deadline to enter is Feb. 8. The fun run/walk is also virtual. All the information you need is a click away at https://www.krewedupooch.org/. A GIRL NAMED RED is a sweet, easy-going, gentle, housetrained dog who is good with other dogs and older kids. She is timid, so it will take a little time for her to get comfortable in a new environment, but giving her that time is well worth the effort! She now sits in foster's lap and accepts love easily. She is beginning to initiate play, so toys are a recent addition to her repertoire. She does love squirrels and will jump about 4 feet into the air and do a glorious spin when she sees them while out in the yard going potty. Her movements would make even the most medal bearing Olympic ice skater envious! She is a dog that everyone would want to call their own! Red is best described as pristinely delicate and ultrafeminine. A real treasure and a rare find! Heartworm neg; spayed; 3 years old; not a barker; med size (about 27 lbs); fenced yard preferred because she is still working on leash training. Fee: $175. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Visit website to complete application. www.tireddogrescue.com
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
