NEEDING A NEW BEST FRIEND. Squeekers' owner passed away so she has been living with a friend for a while who already has several dogs. This eight-pound Chihuahua came to TDR in good health, although she is understandably a little scared and stressed. She's house- and crate trained, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. She's described as a good watchdog, and once she gets to know her people, she's loyal, affectionate and even a little possessive. She is very cautious, even unfriendly, when she meets new people, so she needs a new owner, or owners, with patience who are willing to invest some time with her. She does not like children, so a single person or couple is a must, and if a fenced-in yard comes with the people, that's a plus because she loves to be outdoors. She's likes to jump on furniture, especially if it gets her closer to snacks, so watch out for this counter surfer.
