MR. WHISKERS, MR. WHISKERS, LEND ME YOUR EARS. No, literally, you will want his ears! They are most expressive part of this coarse-haired terrier mix. It's as if they are starched to permanently remain at attention to ensure he doesn’t miss a thing. These perky ears wondrously compliment his big round brown eyes. What a looker!! But as handsome as this 11 year-old might be, he could afford to lose a couple of pounds to continue to live a quality life. He is not enthusiastic about eating his dog food. This may be because he is accustomed to eating table scraps either in conjunction with his kibble or instead of it. He begrudgingly signed up for a leash-walking class, as his prior life found him to be strictly a couch potato. Amazingly, he is a vigorous and confident man on the street and delights in participating in this activity tethered to his fellow canines! He will need a securely fenced yard as he is still wanting to find his way back to the only home he ever knew. Dad left without warning, and Mr. Whiskers and his fellow housemates still are trying to figure out what happened. Luckily, should he escape, he does not run fast. Actually, Mr. Whiskers prefers to stop and smell the roses. This guy is both charming AND healthy and does not act his age. Very easygoing, calm, cooperative, affectionate and gentle, he could join most any household. Although he was fine with his foster mom’s 3-year-old grandchild, his new owner will need to remember that he has lived his entire life with only adults, so this particular dog would be best with older children. He reportedly lived with a cat previously along with larger and smaller dogs. He is a dream-come-true canine and wants to whisper all his secrets to you! He will want you to allow him to sleep with you or you may be awakened in the middle of the night because he is lonely.
