Hi, I’m Blondie, an 11 year old fluffy Lab who has had a very turbulent couple of months. You see my life has been stable, having lived with 7 other dogs and a few cats with my forever owner, until a couple of months ago when the carpet literally got pulled out from under me. My owner became ill and his brother tossed all of us out to the yard during the coldest months of the year. After several bone chilling weeks, my rescue mom and her friend came and moved all of us to more comfortable digs and after some long needed vetting, I was found to have some lumps and bumps that were removed. We do not have the path report but mom said it would not change anything to know. I am looking for a place to spend my final chapters for however long I have. Adding to my sadness and grief, my longtime companion was helped across the rainbow bridge last week. So much loss and confusion. BUT,  let me share all my good stuff with you: I am  housebroken, heartworm negative, have normal labwork, walk great on a leash, ride well in the car, am easy going and low energy. Losing some of this fluff would take some pressure off these old bones. You see, my former owner spoon fed me wet dog food and boiled chicken and rice. Because I weigh 90 lbs,  I don’t get on furniture but will keep your feet nice and toasty while you watch TV. My rescue mom says I would be good in any home including kids but I probably will just let them brush me and snuggle with me. I just want to be wherever you are.  A warm cozy bed and a loving hand is all I am looking for. Can you find room for me in your home and heart?
