GROWING INTO A REAL LOVE BUG. Eddie is a handsome Chihuahua mix looking for a patient, quiet and loving home. Eddie came from a situation where there were a lot of dogs but very little human interaction. When he first came to TDR, he didn't want anyone to touch him, but he's really come a long way. He is approaching his first birthday and weighs about 10 pounds. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and is very healthy. Although he's housetrained, he sometimes marks indoors. It is imperative that his new home have a very secure fenced-in yard. Eddie is receptive to affection and will cuddle when his people are resting, but he remains skittish and doesn't like to be picked up. He is very wary of people who are standing and moving around, although he will follow and occasionally approach for a little petting. If you can provide a home with consistency and patience, we invite you to apply to adopt Eddie. We recommend a home without children. (If you will get frustrated because he doesn’t jump on your lap or come to you when you call him, he is not the dog for you.) He is sweet and so desperately wants to love and be loved.
