LOOKING FOR A BESTIE  Allia is a darling, 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier/Toy Poodle mix who is sweet and cuddly as a kitten, but she needs a home with only women and older girls. When she came into care, Allia showed signs of neglect, especially in her teeth and grooming. She is responding to a stable, loving home focused on meeting her needs. Her foster mom predicts this little caterpillar will emerge from her cocoon as a gorgeous butterfly in time. Allia gets along with other dogs but we have no information about how she would interact with cats. Children also are a question mark. Her foster mom is unsure if Allia is house trained. She weighs nine pounds, is heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Allia does very well in a crate and seems to find it comforting and secure. She does not enjoy riding in the car in a crate, though. She also is not leash trained and will need a fenced-in yard. She is scheduled to be spayed soon. Allia will need regular tests to ensure her kidney function is normal. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Fee: $175. Apply at tireddogrescue.org.

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
