SEARCHING FOR A SUNNY SPOT WITH A LOT OF LOVE  China has been living in a world without sight, sound, a gentle touch and consistent care for a very long time. She desperately needs a home with an attentive person or family to see to her needs and make her last days comfortable and loving. For her age and recent condition, she's in remarkable health. The vet and groomer said the mats on this little girl were the worst they had ever seen, but now she's remembering what fun it is to stroll around the yard and feel the sun on her skin. China is on a special diet for her kidney function. She has spondylosis which makes it difficult for her to lift her head sometimes. Her foster mother thinks China's blindness and age might be contributing to confusion about her potty schedule, so diapers are recommended. It's quite possible this is only temporary. China is also deaf so her family needs to understand that she startles easily which sometimes causes her to snap. For that reason TDR does not recommend that she be adopted by a family with very small children. Right now, China is skittish and mistrustful of strangers but she's made great strides in her foster home, so TDR is confident that with consistency and patience, she will warm to a forever family in no time. China is a special dog with special needs so she needs an extra special family. She is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and scheduled for a dental cleaning.
