My name is Buddy and I am approximately 7-9 years old. I weigh 60lbs but really don’t look that big. I am just big boned, I think. We are guessing that I am a chow mix by my features but if it hard to tell since half of my hair is still not grown back in. It is peach fuzz now so hoping in time I will have my beautiful coat back but there is a possibility that I will stay looking like a lion which is pretty cool too!! You will have a one-of-a-kind dog that is for sure!!

I am so thankful to be alive and it shows in everything that I do. I am a happy-go-lucky guy with a new “leash” on life. You see when I came into the shelter, I was a mess. My eyes were infected, I had heartworms and I had a GIANT tumor on my tummy that I had been lugging around for years. I got used to it but it sure was uncomfortable and always dragged me down. It was hard to run, to play and sleep or relax at all. But the nice people at Tired Dog Rescue took me in and got me all fixed up. I got my heartworms treated, neutered, eye infections cleared up and most important of all my tumor removed. I feel like a million bucks!!! I love all my foster brothers and sisters but most of all I love my toys!!! I am good with most dogs however not a fan of cats. All toys and all balls. I love them so much that I climbed up on my mom’s desk and up on her wall shelf and stole her stuffed minion. Mom was not too thrilled, but I sure was. She calls me a character and Mr. Personality Plus. So if you adopt me and you have stuffies of your own you better put them out of my reach because I will definitely steal them.

I do still have some smaller masses on my side and my arms but we did some tests and they are just fatty tumors. I have finished my heartworm treatment and will need a follow-up heartworm test in about 6 months. Then I should have the all clear!! I like to get medicated baths so my skin feels better and to help my hair to grow in. Other than that I am a pretty low maintenance guy. I will let you know if there is something that I need and you are not paying attention. Don’t worry I will not let you forget to wake up, feed me, get my toy etc.  I am housetrained, crate trained and love to go for rides in the car and for walks. I love most dogs, adults and probably older kids but I haven’t been tested with the little ones yet. I am not a fan of cats. My fee has been sponsored so you can use that money to BUY ME TOYS!!! Yay
