Dalia...the name is Dalia, but my foster mom calls me Baby Doll. She says I am a complete doll and I would have to agree. I am sassy, sweet, and sensitive. I am a one-year-old Chinese Crested female and I weigh approximately 15 pounds. I am heartworm negative and will be spayed before adoption.
The Chinese crested is a rare and special breed. It's quite common that a crested will become one's, "heart dog." It's inevitable. I am what is called a "hairy hairless," (silly I know) but that's the term. I will require grooming in the form of haircuts. If you are unfamiliar with the breed, google all the fun haircuts I can have! Right now, I have the cut that it typical of my breed. But I if you want to let the hair grow out on my ears, that might be fun! If you choose to let my beautiful hair grow, I will require brushing. I'm not prone to matting but my hair can grow quite long. The positive side is that my breed, even the haired versions, don't shed!
I am house trained, but I am only a year old so it's possible I could have an accident from all the moving around from homes, but so far, my foster mom says very good at only going potty outside! Gold star for me!
I am very velcroed to my foster mom. Sometimes when she's walking, I really like to walk into her legs or right in front of her legs. I just want to be close to her! If my potential owner has any stability or balance issues, I might not be the best fit for the home.
I get along with other dogs and love all humans. I am sure I'd be ok with cats, but it hasn't been tested yet. I am a sensitive girl and will take a few days to warm up to my new living situation. New things are still kind of scary to me but I'm young and still learning!
I walk well on a leash and really like car rides. I'm happy to just lay down and watch the world go by. I do know my name and will come when called! If you think I could be a good match for your home, please apply today! www.tireddogrescue.org
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
