Well, hello....my name is Shelby!  I am a one-year-old, ## pound, silver and tan female Yorkshire terrier.  
I am heartworm negative and will be up to date on all my shots as well as spayed before adoption.
 
I am a tiny little love and need someone that really wants a constant companion.  I prefer to be held or sitting in your lap at all times, if possible.  I just love people and giving little, tiny kisses to my humans.  I get along with all dogs but would do best in a home with dogs my size or calm larger dogs, as I am so tiny and fragile.  I would ok as an only dog too since I love having all the attention! 
 
I can be crated but I don't really like it and will cry.  My foster mom has left me out and I usually just nap until I see her again.  I am working on my housetraining and would do best with a yard where I could be let out on a routine or someone that was available to take me outside frequently to learn where is best to potty.  My foster mom says I'm a quick learner and I really like to make people happy!  
 
I am still learning the leash as well.  I really like following my foster mom around as closely as possible, so the leash hasn't been hard to learn at all!  
 
I would do best in a home with older children or adults.  I am so tiny and fragile, young children frighten me and might accidentally injure me.  It's unknown how I am with cats, but it can be tested before adoption if needed. 
 
I am a Yorkshire terrier, so I don't shed, but I will need frequent trips to the groomer as I will grow long hair that will need to be kept beautiful.
