Hello, my name is Maverick, and I'm the sweetest guy you'll meet! I'm a 4-5 year old male Cocker Spaniel, full-tailed and bursting with energy.  I'm quite docile, but I stand my ground when bullied. Upon arriving at Tired Dog Rescue, I was in a sorry state, reeking of yeast and covered in itchy, patchy spots on my skin. I suffered from a double ear infection, was not neutered, bloodshot eyes and was blind. Now, my skin no longer itches and is healing beautifully; I've been neutered and have started on eye medication. To my foster parent's surprise, I began to regain my sight, confirmed by an ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with a type of cataracts that can be resorbed, allowing sight to return. I'll need lifelong eye drops, but they're affordable at less than $15 a bottle. My life has improved tremendously, and now I'm ready to find my forever home!

I adore playing with my foster siblings, snuggling in bed and giving my foster mom 'kisses' by pressing my snout against her lips, which always makes her laugh. I enjoy chewing on bones and being a playful and goofy boy.  I'm still receiving medicated baths until my skin fully recovers, but we're almost there. I've mastered 'sit,' 'lie down,' and 'shake,' and I'm eager to learn more. I'm perfecting my house training and improving daily. We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
