Sugar!! Oh honey, honey! Hi! My name is Sugar Bear and I am part of a boned pair. That's right! We're a twofer deal! Please check out my sister, Cocoa who is also listed for adoption! We are both twelve year old female chihuahuas and tiny! Cocoa weighs five pounds and Sugar Bear weighs 7 pounds. So really combined, we weigh the amount of one small dog! We are both heartworm negative, up to date on shots, and will be spayed before adoption! First off, our foster mom wants everyone to know that we are two of the most friendly chihuahuas she's met. We will greet you with wagging tails and licks every single time we see you. We love to be held and kissed on. A little about me, I'm the larger of the two and lighter brown. I am also a little more confident than my sister and love to do zoomies in the yard! I also have trouble keeping my tongue in my mouth sometimes, but my derpy smile is sure to make you laugh. I also REALLY love belly rubs. I will flop over for you anytime. So, I know we have the cards stacked against us with our factors. If your concern is our age, please know we were very well cared for by our previous owner and are perfectly healthy! We are also chihuahuas and live forever (ok, not really but chihuahuas typically have very long healthy lifespans and that means we are in our prime!). If your concern is the fact there are two of us, please know we are VERY easy little ladies. We like snooze on the couch, cuddle with our foster mom, and follow each other around. Plus, there is one of us for each of your hands! That's perfect! Our foster mom is absolutely in love with us. She has to keep reminding herself that she can't keep us so she can save others. We're so good that she doesn't even want to give us up! We are housebroken and pee pad trained. We are friendly with all dogs, big and small in the house. It's unknown how we are with cats but that can be tested before adoption if needed. We would do best in a home without very small children due to our fragile little bodies. We are crate trained but prefer to be out. Our foster mom leaves us loose in the house when she leaves and we cause no damage and don't bark....except when the mailman comes, but that's an obvious invasion that needs attention. We are the perfect age where we love to run around in the yard and play and yet have no problem going in for a snooze on the couch if the mood strikes! We are tiny but able to jump up on the couch and bed on our own! We are missing some teeth (common with little dogs) but have no problem eating small dry kibble. I'm sure we would love wet food or dry food that has been soaked. We don't like walking on leash and pretend we're little floppy fish when asked to walk. But, without a leash, we will follow you all over the yard and we know our names so we will come when called. We would need a yard due to the fact we protest leash walking. We are not escape artists, so we won't need six-foot-high fences, just a safe area to do our business and enjoy some sunshine. We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
