Meet Xander!
This handsome little gentleman is a 10-year-old, 11.8-lb Havanese who’s ready to charm his way into your heart
Personality:
Xander is the definition of “cuddle buddy.” He’s laid-back, sweet, and happiest when he’s next to his person. He’ll greet you at the door dancing on his hind legs like a tiny, fuzzy ballerina!
Dog & Cat Friends:
He gets along well with small dogs and feline ladies. He’s been a little growly with a big male dog in his foster home, so we’re not sure yet how he’ll do with other male pups. This may improve after he’s neutered.
Kids:
We’re not sure how Xander feels about kids just yet.
Home Habits:
He’s quiet, loves both the outdoors and snuggle time inside, and doesn’t require much grooming beyond an occasional brush (which may be needed more often once his coat fully grows back). He’s been marking some, so a belly band will be helpful until he’s settled into a routine at his new home.
Health:
Xander currently has periodontal disease, a sebaceous mass, and matted excess hair in his ears (AU). He is already scheduled for a dental, neuter, and mass removal so he’ll be all spruced up and feeling great soon!

If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s just as happy taking in the sunshine as he is snuggling on the couch, Xander is your guy.

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
