About Maddie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: White with Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut
  • Housetrained: Yes
This sweet, soulful girl is Maddie. Maddie is approximately 5yrs-old. Maddie is a red/white Cocker Spaniel with a full tail. She is up-to-date on shots and heart worm negative. Maddie was left in her crate outside the local shelter. I can't imagine anyone giving this girl up. She is PERFECT. Housetrained, quiet, snuggly and just so sweet. She does have a heart murmur that requires daily medication but the cost of the medication is pretty low. Maddie had mammary tumors that we had removed and sent for biopsy. They were NOT cancerous. This is such great news. Maddie is healing up and will be ready for adoption in the next few days. Tired Dog Rescue asks that you please think carefully before adopting a Cocker Spaniel. Cocker Spaniels are a very high maintenance breed. They must be brushed 1-2 times weekly to keep their fur from matting. Grooming cost averages about 60.00 every 6-8 weeks. Cockers must have weekly ear cleanings to avoid infection and costly trips to the vet. If you are not prepared for the time and cost of owning a Cocker Spaniel please consider a lower maintenance breed. Please note that Tired Dog Rescue will not adopt Cocker Spaniels to homes that have small children living in the home or that visit the home often. If you are interested in any of our dogs please fill out an application at www.tireddogrescue.com All adoptions require a home visit and vet check. Adoption fees range from 150.00-250.00. This fee covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and any other medical treatment needed. If you have questions you may call Terry at 228-254-6305 Thanks for looking!!

More about Maddie

Good with Dogs

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
